The traditional basket originated as a large esparto grass or palm frond basket used to carry produce, food, and all sorts of other items. Over time, its capacity, lightness, and durability transformed it into an icon of the Mediterranean summer, inseparable from markets, coastal towns, and beach days.

At Peter & Wolf BCN we reinterpret this classic from a contemporary and architectural perspective. Starting from its characteristic open silhouette, we have worked on the anchors of the handles to create marked edges that contrast with the curvatures of the ends.

The result is a sculptural piece of great personality, with a play of curved and angular lines that evokes the organic language of Gaudí’s architecture.

Spacious, lightweight, and versatile, it maintains the functionality of the original tote bag, with enough room to accompany you to the beach, on a weekend getaway, a day of shopping, or for everyday use. Its closure and handles provide a contrasting color that enhances the unique character of each combination.
